most of the times people who are living on streets see themselves as the neglected group of minority. Hence when violence or crimes do happened among their community, these groups of people tends to keep to themselves, thinking that they are capable of dealing the problems themselves , rather than reporting to the authorities.

Not only are hate crimes prevalent here in Pensacola Fl. among the homeless but bullying is epidemic. We are taunted, pilfered of our belongings and extorted to the point of anger and frustration. Fortunately I have been able to divert my energies into something passive. However, bullying episodes are the catalysts for violent crimes the homeless commit. Crimes of hate include not providing a place for adequate hygiene without undue mandates, mostly there are NO public bathrooms. On occassion, businesses will close their bathrooms and prevent anyone from using them. Or businesses will neglect their bathrooms to the point that they are breeders of all kinds of comunicable disease. Instead of contributing to a solution of the problems, this community generally exacerbates the problems.
