Description:
Homeless International is raising donations and Contributions for the Africa Bond, primarily from within the UK social housing sector, in order to lend funds to partner organisations for community-led housing and related infrastructure projects in Africa. So far, £151,500 has been raised in Contributions.
The Africa Bond represents a new milestone for Homeless International in that it will be lending to partners on a mainstream basis for the first time, as well as aiming to both pay Contributors an annual return of 3% and return their original Contributions at the end of their 10-year term.
