Settlement Story: Eusebia Mamani
Description:
Eusebia Mamani lives with her family in the Mendez Arcos barrio of Tarija, Bolivia. The family of three share two rooms. Eusebia found out about Fundación Pro-Hábitat through a neighbourhood meeting, and later took out a US$400 loan to plaster the exterior and interior of the house. The house is made of adobe, in which the vinchuca beetle, the carrier of Chagas disease, thrives. House 'rendering' is the best means of preventing infestation(abstract from http://www.homeless-international.org)
