-Domains: 5, 6 -Summary: Briefly describes the programs and services offered through DIAND's Indian and Inuit Services Directorate. The Directorate reports to the Regional Director General in Yellowknife, and is responsible for supporting the unique relationship between the Crown and Aboriginal peoples. It offers programs and services under Lands and Trust Services, Funding Services, and Economic Development Services. Includes Employment services for Indian and Inuit youth, as well as initiatives to help increase Aboriginal participation in the workforce. -Issues: social services, funding, employment, youth -Problems: Only has a brief description of available programs, need to contact the directorate for each specific program. Only a few of the programs would be helpful to Aboriginal homeless or at risk populations. -Conclusions: The employment services and funding for bands could help bands provide for more opportunities for those on reserve, helping them to avoid the causes of homelessness.
