This report is intended to provide access to relatively unprocessed qualitative information about housing & homelessness in Hamilton in a structured form for use in research, reports, & grant proposals. It presents responses heard at 17 focus groups and two in-the-park consultations with people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. After a review of the methodology & its limitations, the responses & summary comments are organized under the following categories: housing (including access, affordability, conditions, hidden homelessness), income (employment, social assistance, other supports), access & equity (including discrimination), services (such as food banks, health care, transportation, education, newcomer support, Children's Aid), and other issues.
