Over the last few decades, the Nation has made substantial advancements in ensuring the public health, safety, and well-being of the American people, but there is still more to be done. The draft HHS Strategic Plan Fiscal Years 2010–2015 describes the steps we will take to achieve our mission to enhance the health and well-being of Americans, by providing for effective health and human services, and by fostering sound, sustained advances in the sciences underlying medicine, public health, and social services. The draft Strategic Plan describes our strategic goals, objectives, and strategies, as well as performance measures we will use to track our progress. (authors)
