It’s well known that Aboriginal people are over-represented amongst Canada’s homeless population. While often working with people from First Nation communities, non-Aboriginal service providers may have varying degrees of cultural awareness and familiarity with the diverse issues and causes of Aboriginal homelessness. Perhaps a shared lack of familiarity is also limiting collaboration between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal organizations, or even amongst staff within an organization. This teleforum will be a first and modest opportunity to approach this involved subject.
